A serious assault against a St. Thomas woman has led to charges being laid against the woman’s boyfriend.
St. Thomas police were called about the assault at a south-end home early Monday morning.
“An investigation revealed that a female had been assaulted by her intimate partner,” police said.
Police released no information about the extent of the woman’s injuries or whether she required hospitalization.
A man was arrested without incident inside the home.
He has been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
