A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash east of Tillsonburg.
The Ontario Provincial Police said a motorcycle and pickup truck collided at the intersection of Highway 3 and Rhineland Road in Courtland, on Saturday at around 1:40 p.m.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 59-year-old from St. Thomas, was rushed to a local hospital before being airlifted to a London area hospital for further treatment. The motorcyclist’s injuries are said to be life-altering.
The driver of the pickup truck, an 82-year-old from Norwich Township, was taken to a local hospital for precautionary measures, police said.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding this crash is ongoing and police said more information will be released as it becomes available.
