Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance CEO Andrew Williams says he’s pleased with the response from staff at all four hospital sites within the Alliance regarding COVID vaccines.
Williams says the numbers clearly support the board’s decision to promote full vaccination.
“At this point, 98 per cent of our HPHA team, that’s staff, physicians and midwives, have at least one doze, so we’re really pleased with the response that we’ve had so far. We continue to make sure that information is available for those who have yet to make a decision,” said Williams.
Hospitals in Stratford, Seaforth, Clinton and St. Marys make up the Alliance.
The numbers will re-visited at the end of October.
“We look at the numbers and we can very readily see that the majority of people coming into our hospitals who end up being very sick are not vaccinated and so I think that we have an obligation to reinforce that we are safer, as a society, with this,” added Williams.
