Second suspect arrested in string of London break-ins

A London man charged by way of warrant in a string of break-ins that occurred over a two week period has been arrested.

London police confirmed on Wednesday 33-year-old William Edward Dundas has been taken into custody. His arrest comes a day after police announced charges of break and enter and theft and break and enter with intent against Dundas and a 27-year-old man.

The charges stem from an investigation into ten break-ins that happened between June 24 and July 9. Two homes were broken into on Richmond Street in the north end of the city, while eight businesses in the north, east, and west ends, as well as downtown were robbed, police said.

A combined $17,050 worth of damage was caused during the break-ins and approximately $11,010 worth of property and cash were stolen.

Investigators determined all ten of the break-ins were committed by the same two men.

The 27-year-old man made his first court appearance in relation to the charges on Monday.
