If you want to get a COVID-19 vaccine in south London, you will no longer need an appointment.
The Middlesex London Health Unit announced Thursday that it will no longer require appointments for first, second, and booster doses of vaccine at the clinic at Earl Nichols arena. However, anyone coming in or a shot without an appointment will have to arrive at the clinic at least one hour before closing time.
“The limit placed on walk-ins during the last hour the clinic is open is to ensure that vials of vaccine are used fully and that no partial vials are left over at the end of each day,” the health unit said.
The mass vaccination clinic at Earl Nichols arena is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m..
“If you still need to get a first, second or booster dose of vaccine, you can now walk into the Earl Nichols Recreation Centre before 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, to get your shot,” said Director of Environmental Health and Infectious Diseases Mary Lou Albanese. “It is critical that five to eleven-year-olds get vaccinated. With the ongoing COVID-19 transmission we’re seeing, having our children receive the COVID-19 vaccine is one of the most important steps we can take to protect them and our community.”
While the walk-in option is now available at the Earl Nichols site, vaccination appointments can still be booked at
