A teen faces traffic charges, including careless driving causing death, in a crash last month that killed a 17-year-old, provincial police say.
The two-vehicle crash happened about 7 p.m. on June 6 at Windham East Quarter Line Road and Windham Road 9 in Windham, a small community northwest of Simcoe, Norfolk OPP said.
A 17-year-old died at the scene and two other people were seriously injured, police said.

A 16-year-old, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with careless driving causing death and careless driving causing bodily harm under the Highway Traffic Act, driving unsupervised with a G1 licence without a qualified driver present, and driving with a passenger under 16 not wearing a seatbelt, police said.
$23K in drugs, knife seized during arrest
Officers seized drugs and a knife when a man wanted on an outstanding warrant was arrested Wednesday, Sarnia police say.
An officer arrested a man wanted on a warrant for theft and failing to comply with probation orders near Exmouth and East streets about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
A search found 61 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 135 grams of fentanyl with a combined estimated street value of $23,000, drug paraphernalia and a folding knife, police said.
Highly addictive and up to 100 times more powerful than morphine, fentanyl has been implicated in much of the opioid drug crisis that has swept Ontario and the rest of the country.
The suspect was under a probation order not to possess weapons, police said.
A 35-year-old man is charged with possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking and failing to comply with probation, police said.
