Western Fair vaccination clinic taking patients three days a week

The hours at the Western Fair District COVID-19 mass vaccination clinic have changed, according to a statement from the Middlesex-London Health Unit.

As of May 1, the clinic at 900 King Street will be open Thursday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Previously, the clinic was open on Tuesday and Wednesday, as well. Appointments that were scheduled for one of these days in May have been rescheduled, and the booking website has been updated to reflect changes in availability.

“The Health Unit continues to recommend a primary two-dose series of COVID-19 vaccine and a booster dose of vaccine for those who have already completed their primary series, provided they have not received one since September 2022,” the Middlesex-London Health Unit advised.

Boosters are recommended for some patients if it has been six months since the last dose or since a confirmed COVID-19 infection. This group includes those 65 or older, residents of long-term care homes and other congregate living settings, Indigenous people age 55 or older, and those who are otherwise immunocompromised, or pregnant.

Further information about vaccine eligibility can be found at the health unit’s website.

Those able to receive a vaccine can book an appointment online at https://www.covidvaccinelm.ca/.

COVID-19 vaccinations are also available at pharmacies and other healthcare providers across London and Middlesex County.
