High winds keeping line crews busy

High winds sweeping the region are keeping lines crews busy Saturday.

Hydro One is reporting a multitude of outages scattered across Huron, Perth, Bruce, Grey and Wellington. Outages are also being reported across southwestern Ontario along the Hwy. 401 corridor and northeast towards central Ontario.

Hydro One’s outage map is showing upwards of 15,000 customers without power across the local area covering the five counties. Restoration times range from anytime late this afternoon to late tonight.

Warnings of high winds were issued earlier this week.
