Chippewas of the Thames man identified as person killed in Melbourne Road fire
Provincial police have identified a 60-year-old Chippewas of the Thames First Nation man as the person killed in a structural fire last week in Southwest Middlesex Township.
Melford Fisher was found dead after firefighters extinguished the blaze at a property on Melbourne Road around 10:20 a.m. September 28.
Fisher was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
Middlesex OPP continues to assist the Office of the Fire Marshal with its investigation.
