Police probing shooting in Vauxhall Park

London police are looking for answers after a man was shot in an east London park.

According to police, the man was walking through Vauxhall Park when he was hit with what he thought was a BB pellet fired from an air rifle.

He went to his nearby home and called police. He was then taken to hospital in an ambulance and it was later discovered that his injury was a bullet wound.

Police say his injuries are non-life threatening.

The investigation is in its early stages and police are asking anyone with information to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
