Dozens of new COVID-19 cases added in Midwestern Ontario over the weekend
Huron Perth Public Health reported a dozen new cases of COVID-19 confirmed over the weekend. There are 34 active cases. Four residents are hospitalized with the virus. The pandemic has lead to the deaths of 65 residents. There are outbreaks at Bluewater Rest home in Bluewater, and Knollcrest Lodge Long Term care in Perth East.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit added no new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, but there are still 22 active cases in the region. Three residents are hospitalized due to COVID-19 and there 22 residents have passed away due to the virus since the pandemic began. The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported one new case of COVID-19 Sunday, in the Town of the Blue Mountains. Three cases were added Saturday in Grey Bruce.
On Monday, Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added 70 new cases of the virus since Friday, 14 of them in Wellington. There are 46 active cases in Wellington, including eight in Mapleton and one in Wellington North.
