‘We let our students down’: Western University president Alan Shepard

Western University has come under fire after allegations of sexual assaults and drugging of students during Orientation Week. A London Free Press-Western Gazette story included the voice of a woman alleging she was restrained and sexually assaulted in a residence room and the voices of student volunteers, called sophs, reporting they were overwhelmed by event. President Alan Shepard has announced several steps to better train student volunteers, and struck a task force on sexual violence. He spoke with reporter Randy Richmond Friday. Read More
